Diffusione

È presente nell'Atlantico centro-orientale: endemico del Capo Verde. È un pesce marino, benthopelagico, con una distribuzione batimetrica da 0 a 100 m. Abita sia i fondali rocciosi che i fondali sabbiosi in acque più profonde oltre i 100m; si può vedere in gruppi di cinque individui di dimensioni diverse.
